AI retrieval is the step where a system selects documents or passages that might answer a query. Retrieval may use a live web search, a pre-built index, or a vector store.
Content that cannot be fetched, rendered or segmented cleanly is less likely to be retrieved. Retrieval readiness is one of the ten areas in the GEO Visibility Framework.
