How GeoAI Optimization applies GEO to GeoAI Optimization

Our own site as a working case study: entity clarity, structured data, content architecture, accessibility and internal linking, documented as we go.

By GeoAI OptimizationPublished 6 min read

An organization that publishes a GEO standard should be able to show its own work. This note records how the GEO-10 Framework is applied to this website. It reports decisions, not results; measurements will be added when they have been run with the published methodology.

Entity clarity

One organizational definition is used everywhere: homepage, About, footer, press kit and Organization schema. Because "GeoAI" can also mean geospatial AI, every major page introduces GEO as Generative Engine Optimization, and the About page says what we are not.

Organization information

The Organization schema contains only verifiable values: name, URL, logo, description, contact page and real profiles. Fields we cannot yet confirm are left out rather than filled in.

Structured data

Pages carry Organization, WebSite, BreadcrumbList, Article, FAQPage, DefinedTerm and ProfessionalService markup where the content supports it.

Content architecture

Each question has one home: /what-is-geo defines GEO, /why-geo covers business implications, guides teach, research reports findings. This avoids several pages competing for the same query.

Technical accessibility

Primary content is server-rendered HTML. Pages work without JavaScript; animation is progressive enhancement and respects reduced-motion settings.

Citations and references

Research notes list their sources, methodology and limitations. Glossary terms link to related terms and external references where they exist.

Internal linking

Definitions link to the Standard, certification, the audit and the glossary; certification pages link to governance, independence and verification.

Measurement

Not yet reported. When it is, the query set, systems, dates, sample sizes and limitations will be published with the figures.

Methodology

Self-documentation of implementation decisions on geoaioptimization.com. Visibility measurements will be added only once they have been run with the published methodology.

Limitations

  • No performance results are reported yet.
  • A self-assessment; it has not been independently reviewed.
