Source authority
The credibility a source carries for a given topic, as judged by independent references and track record.

Source authority is topic-specific: a respected trade publication can carry more weight on its subject than a general-interest site with a larger audience.
Authority is earned through accuracy, expertise and independent recognition. Manufactured mentions, paid placements presented as editorial, and link schemes are excluded under the Ethical GEO principles.
